The kerosene is fed into either of the Feed/Product Tank (T-100 or T-101), with a capacity of 200 m3 (approximately equivalent to one day's inventory), by road tankers via Kerosene Unloading Pump (P-121). As T-100 and T-101 are interchangeable, when T-100 is used as feed tank, T-101 is used as product tank and vice versa. The feed from the Feed/Product Tank (T-100 or T-101) is pumped; via P-100 to the Kerosene Distillation Unit (KDU) via flow control (FIC-001).
A Slop Tank (T-102) with a capacity of 100 m3 is provided to collect oil and waste washed water during shutdown and maintenance activities. The continuous oil contaminated (COC) water collected in the oily water pit is pumped back the Slop Tank when it reached a pre-defined height. The Slop Tank is designed with instrumentation for detecting oil/water. Facility for disposal of oily slops from the Slop Tank via road tankers to ENV approved disposal facility is catered for.
In the Tankage Area, an optional pigging system is provided. The pigging operation is on an off-line basis and not normal operation. |
